What a wonderful weekend in Memphis!!
Thanks to THE SHED I had a great time at the Memphis in May World Championship Barbecue Cooking Contest.

Mamma Pig
The Mamma Pig is the presentation board used by Brad to serve the judges.

The result of a great tasting hog and a very unique presentation netted THE SHED a 3rd place Whole Hog at the World Championship Cook-Off in Memphis.

CONGRATULATIONS to everyone at THE SHED and THANK YOU VERY MUCH for the opportunity to experience this wonderful event.

My wife and I recently visited the beautiful area of mountains and vineyards known as Napa Valley.I have a sister who resides in Napa and is a great hostess and wonderful tourguide. The food in the Napa Valley area is none less than awsome, but my favorite food experiance was the Culinary Institute of America.
I came across a nice gallery for woodworkers in Calistoga,California where I will have some of my larger-thicker chopping blocks on display and for sale. If you are in the Napa Valley area you can see my blocks at the place shown bellow.
OH YEAH!
We cought a Oakland Raiders football game on Monday night. My wife loves the Raiders, so we did the whole Raider football experiance by getting tickets in the BLACK HOLE and dressing up like real Raider faithful. This is a picture of me tailgating with a couple of the REFS before the game.
RBchopblock.com will be on display at the New Orleans Art Market on September 26.
Baton Rouge on October 3rd.
The Academy of the Sacred Heart on October 22nd.
New Orleans Art Market on October31st.
Be back soon.

I just wanted to show a few of the interesting thing going on in the shop.
The pig in this picture is for the Junior League of Lakeland Florida. The JL will be selling tickets for a chance to win this very nice board. This is the first end grain pig that I have made,so I hope they sell many tickets and make lots of money for their charity.
The round block will be a chopblock on legs for use in a kitchen or for someone doing demonstrations or a nice presentation. This would make a very nice center piece for a kitchen.
I wanted to make a fish that could be sold for 25.00. It’s measurements are 8×14 and I think it is a great addition to the fish collection.

The two other blocks are just nice blocks that measure 12″x12″x5″ thick.
Thanks for looking and check back soon.

Hello ,
Thanks for visiting my new website. I am excited to have a place to display my cutting boards and chopblocks.
I will be using this blog to show some of projects being made in the shop and to show our setup when we are at cookoffs or like this picture of Hayden getting a crawfish paddle in Hammond La.

I went to a very wet Huntsville Al. To deliver a beautiful set of trophies and pigs which were given to sponsors of the event.

Check out this really neat pig puzzle that will be used as a presentation platter for the whole hog catagory at the Memphis In May world championship bbq cookoff. It really turned out nice.

Thanks for looking, I will be back soon.
